During my M.Sc. study, synthesis of homo and copolymers of styrene and butyl methacrylate for a functional binder for leather finishing by emulsion polymerization using a redox initiation system was studied.
Co-operative research about rigid polyurethane foams possesses fire retardant property at Gdansk University of Technology (Gdansk, Poland) Training program regarding the precise synthesis of block/graft copolymers utilized by living ring-opening metathesis polymerizations at Nara Institute of Science and Technology (Nara, Japan). In my Ph.D. study at the laboratory of organic chemistry, Tokyo Metropolitan University (TMU), the project concerning the precise synthesis of end-functionalized conjugated polymers/oligomers by olefin metathesis reactions was conducted. Step-wise synthesis of end-functionalized oligo(2,5-dialkoxy-phenylene-1,4-vinylene)s (OPVs, up to 31 repeat units) with precise repeating units by adopting a coupled olefin metathesis with Wittig-like coupling. |
