PhD student
Institute of Tropical Medicine

Specialty Bioinformatics- (NGS-genetic analysis, programming, protein structure development)
immunogenetics (gene cloning)
Science Interest
(Past)
with bioinformatics background, I had interest in working on tuberculosis due to its economic burden and lack of new drugs. in this, I was working on developing 3D ribosomal structures that can be used in I docking experiment and used for drug screening and drug development.
At the same time, I was also involved in studies that involved developing a 3D structure of the 40s ribosome with the aim of better understanding of the parasite and could be used for some drug target screening.
Science Interest
(Current)
My interest has led me to working on genetics analysis which involves deciphering the role of different immune genes in relation to protection or predisposition of an individual to a diseases or conditions.
Science Interest
(Future)
With the world heading to personalized medicine in the near future, I am looking forward to expanding my knowledge in the area of genetics analysis, whole genome association studies, pharmacogenomics among others.
At the same time, I hope to work with protein structures in trying to develop new drugs and in order to alleviate human life.
